Carolyn W. Davidson spent her younger years on a cattle ranch in the Bear Lake Valley. She and her husband now make their home in Cache Valley. "This has been a wonderful place to raise our five sons." She is largely self-taught, but has studied under several artists through workshop programs at Utah State University. "To me," she says, "painting is an act of gratitude for our beautiful world." She likes to work in pencil, pastel, and oil. She has taught art and calligraphy classes in the valley school districts continuing education programs for over 20 years.
Carolyn's work can be found in many private collections throughout the West.

Carolyn enjoys what she sees. She observes the excitement in the eyes of others, the purpose in architecture, the majesty and straightforwardness in landscapes, and the rhythm of wildlife. The art invites the viewer to experience the event, to expand ones life experiences, and become interrelated with the place, time, and elements.
